Why we release displays in allocations
Alter Ego displays are not stocked on retail shelves. Each reference is released in limited, numbered allocations. This is how the system works and why we chose it.

Most monitors are sold the same way. A manufacturer builds as many as a forecast says it should, ships them to retailers and marketplaces, and spends the rest of the year adjusting the price until the pallets are gone. The product is the same on day one and day three hundred. Only the discount changes.
Alter Ego works differently. Every reference is released in limited, numbered allocations, and each allocation is offered to the Alter Ego list first.
How an allocation works
- You request a reference. On the allocation page you choose a display, or the whole collection, and leave your details.
- You join the list in order. Requests are kept in the order they arrive, by reference.
- A numbered unit is offered to you. When an allocation is ready, an advisor contacts you directly to offer it.
- You decide. Accept, defer to the next allocation, or decline. There is no obligation.
Why we do it
Because a small collection deserves a small production. We make four references. Producing them in small batches lets us keep each one exactly as specified, rather than chasing volume.
Because the price should not be the story. A product that is constantly on sale teaches its buyers to wait. Released in allocations, a display is worth the same to the person who receives the first unit as to the person who receives the last.
Because we would rather know who we are building for. Requests tell us which references, which finishes and which rooms our clients have in mind. That shapes what comes next.
Because an object you wait for is an object you keep. The best things on a desk are the ones you chose deliberately.
What it means for you
If you want an Alter Ego display, the most reliable way to get one is to request an allocation early. Units are offered to the list before they are shown anywhere else, and when an allocation is spoken for, the next one opens to the list in the same order.
