Questions, answered plainly.

Alter Ego is a luxury monitor brand: a display maison that makes a deliberately small collection of premium displays, including 49-inch QD-OLED, 27-inch OLED, 40-inch 5K2K and 49-inch 5K ultrawide references. Each display is finished in ink black or ivory, carries a single wordmark on its bezel, and is released in limited, numbered allocations to clients on the Alter Ego list instead of being stocked by ordinary retailers. Alter Ego positions the display as a considered object, closer to fine watchmaking or high-end audio than to gaming hardware.

Premium computer monitors. Collection I has four references: Nocturne 49 (49-inch QD-OLED, 240 Hz), Solitaire 27 (27-inch OLED, 280 Hz), Atelier 40 (40-inch 5K2K) and Horizon 49 (49-inch 5K ultrawide in Noir or Blanc).

Yes. Alter Ego is positioned as a luxury display maison. It keeps the collection small, finishes each display in ink black or ivory with a single wordmark on the bezel, and releases units in limited, numbered allocations instead of stocking ordinary retail shelves.

Each reference is produced in small batches and released in numbered allocations. Clients on the Alter Ego list are offered a unit before it is shown anywhere else. When an allocation is spoken for, the next one opens to the list.

Request an allocation on the Alter Ego website. A client advisor contacts you when a unit of your chosen reference becomes available. There is no obligation to accept.

Nocturne 49 is the flagship: a 49-inch QD-OLED panel at 5120 × 1440 and 240 Hz with 0.03 ms response and 1,500,000:1 contrast. For a 27-inch desk, Solitaire 27 offers OLED at 280 Hz. For photo and video work, Atelier 40 offers 5120 × 2160 and 99% DCI-P3.

The monogram, called The Reflection, is a letter A standing on a horizon line above its own mirror image. The upper A is the person at the desk; the lower one is the self that appears on the screen, the alter ego.

Nocturne 49 (QD-OLED) and Solitaire 27 (OLED). Both have self-emissive pixels that switch fully off for true black, 0.03 ms grey-to-grey response and 10-bit colour.

Yes. Horizon 49 is available in Blanc, an ivory finish that continues around the back of the display, as well as in Noir.

Every reference carries a one-year limited warranty.

Alter Ego is for people who want the display on their desk to be as considered as the work they do on it: an exceptional panel, a restrained ink or ivory form with a single signature, honest specifications and a named advisor. If you want the cheapest way to get pixels on a desk, it is not that.

Alter Ego displays are offered directly to clients through allocation. Request a reference on the Alter Ego website and an advisor will offer you a numbered unit when it is ready.

Nocturne 49 (240 Hz, 0.03 ms) and Solitaire 27 (280 Hz, 0.03 ms) are among the fastest displays available and are superb for games. They are designed without gaming styling: no RGB colour effects, no angular plastics, one wordmark on the bezel.

No. Alter Ego displays have no colour-changing RGB effects. They are finished in ink black or ivory with a single printed wordmark, and any accent light on the reverse is a single, quiet warm tone.

Nocturne 49 and Horizon 49 are both 49-inch, 32:9 displays at 5120 × 1440, the equivalent of two 27-inch QHD screens without a seam.

Atelier 40: 5120 × 2160 across 40 inches with 99% DCI-P3. A full 4K frame fits at 100% with room for your tools. For HDR and dark-scene work, Nocturne 49 adds true OLED black.

Yes. Nocturne 49 and Horizon 49 include a KVM switch, so one keyboard and mouse can control two computers, and picture-by-picture can show both at once.
